This index gives information on any outstanding thefts or losses of tortoises which can be identified by their fingerprints or other effective methods.

FOUND: ONE TORTOISE:
A Tortoise has been found in Porthleven, Cornwall, on 12th July
Claims of ownership, along with any fingerprinting ID, photographic record, microchip data or an accurate description should be made to paul@britishchelonia.org

STOLEN TORTOISE: RECOVERED!
A Tortoise (male spur-thighed) was taken from a garden in Penarth S. Glamorgan on 15th May 2004.
This tortoise was recovered later owing to local publicity, and subsequent identification using 'fingerprinting'.

FOUND: ONE TORTOISE:
A tortoise has been found in the Hatherley area of Cheltenham, April 2004 This still remains unclaimed.
